Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant primary school in New Islington, Manchester. This is a full-time position, where the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students and teachers, ensuring high-quality learning across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support class teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Take responsibility for covering whole classes in the teacher’s absence
- Assist in planning and delivering learning activities for individuals or groups
- Provide tailored support for children with diverse learning needs
- Monitor student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents where appropriate
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support with classroom management and behavior, following school policies
About You:
- You will hold HLTA status or have relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant with the ability to cover classes
- Passionate about education and committed to improving student outcomes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and supporting diverse learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
