HLTA – Knutsford (WA16)

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a full-time Higher-Level Teaching Assistant and Intervention Specialist to work in one of our partner schools based in Knutsford (WA16). This school in a specialist provision for pupils with SEMH and EBD, many of whom experience SEN, all of whom have an EHCP. This is a mixed-age provision, catering for students from 8 – 18 years of age. Many pupils experience ASC, so experience with such needs would be highly beneficial for this role.

Details:

  • The incoming HLTA will receive a rate of £110+ per day, depending on their experience and qualifications.
  • This role involves a 37-hour working week; term-time only, including INSET days.
  • This is a long-term position paid through Teaching Personnel, with the potential to secure a permanent school contract after a successful trial period.
  • The successful candidate will receive weekly PAYE through timesheets, with no agency fees or umbrella company.

This role will involve delivering personalised support to pupils with EHCPs. You will be working alongside the school SENCO and SLT to plan and deliver interventions both academic as well as social and emotional interventions. Students are able to join our school at any stage of their education and the successful candidate will support students with their transition into school.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEN or SEMH students is essential.
  • Current Enhanced DBS check registered with the Update Service or willingness to undergo one upon application.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Registration with Teaching Personnel before commencement (vetting procedures and references from the last two years of employment will be necessary).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
