Higher Level Teaching Assistant

A Primary School in Grangetown is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) / Teaching Assistant to join our nurturing team. The successful candidate will work within a specialized nurture provision, supporting a group of 8 children with autism / ASD.
Key Responsibilities:

Work alongside another TA to support children with autism in the classroom.

Assist with delivering and adapting activities to meet the individual needs of the children.

Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development.
-
Plan and prepare for the week during designated PPA time on Mondays.

Collaborate with staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
Ideal Candidate:
-
A degree (essential).
-
A willingness to get stuck in and actively contribute to the children’s development.
-
No prior experience necessary, but a passion for working with children with special educational needs is key.

A positive attitude, patience, and a commitment to making a difference.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
