Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Glossop
Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Glossop Secondary School
Start Date: January 2025
A thriving secondary school in Glossop is searching for a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support students and teachers across the curriculum. As an HLTA, you’ll play a vital role in helping students achieve their academic potential, offering targeted support and covering lessons when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons across various subjects, offering additional help to students who need it.
- Small Group Instruction: Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning and provide additional tutoring.
- Classroom Management: Step in to cover lessons when required, following lesson plans and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor students’ progress and communicate feedback to teachers, supporting individual learning goals.
Ideal Candidate:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
