Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a welcoming and dynamic primary school in Newcastle to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the learning and development of pupils across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).

About the Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting learning and providing short-term cover for whole classes when necessary. You will also:

• Collaborate with teachers to plan, organise, and deliver lessons.
• Work with small groups of pupils for targeted intervention sessions.
• Provide tailored support to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
• Contribute to creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment.

This is a temporary position with opportunities to gain valuable professional experience.

About You

The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm and a genuine passion for working with children, alongside the following:

• HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant experience in a primary school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A nurturing and empathetic approach to supporting young learners.
• A desire to inspire and make a positive impact in the classroom.
