High Level Teaching Assistant
Location: Cranborne, Wimborne
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent, Term time only
Annual Salary: £25,015.20 - £27,302.30 (FTE £29,120.00 - £31,782.40)
Hours: 40 hours per week - Term time only
Teaching Personnel have an Opportunity working with a large SEN School Located in the Cranborne area. The School are looking for a (HLTA) High Level Teaching Assistant who believe in giving 11-16 pupils the tools and opportunities to create the lives they want for themselves. With high-quality teaching, an excellent level of individual support and a range of expert-led, integrated therapy, the shcool support students with a range of additional learning needs to create and meet their own goals.
Key duties:
- Take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils according to the school’s policies, including safeguarding and PREVENT
- Under the guidance of a teacher, implement learning activities and experiences, appropriate to the class group, by supporting the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum aiming at pupils achieving their full potential in all areas of learning
- Establish a positive relationship with pupils in order to support them in feeling safe and enabling them to enjoy and learn.
- Work with the children and support their learning, providing further explanation where needed, and work towards
- Under the guidance of the Teacher, help collate evidence and information that supports pupils’ attainment and progress.
- Participate in the evaluation of learning activities.
- Provide meaningful feedback on pupil attainment and progress.
- Support the teacher in monitoring, assessing, recording and reporting pupils’ progress according to the school’s policies in order to monitor and foster pupils’ progress in all areas of learning.
Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher
- GCSE pass above C (or 4 in the new GCSE system) in English and Maths
Directions:
The School is located in the area of Cranborne, situated remotely driving license and access to your own vehicle is a necessity. Parking will be available on site.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
