Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Huddersfield

 Location: Huddersfield
 Salary: £90 - £120 per day (depending on experience)
 Contract Type: Full-time

Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking to take on more responsibility in a primary school setting? Teaching Personnel is seeking qualified and passionate HLTAs to work in primary schools across Huddersfield.

About the Role:

  • Lead whole-class teaching in the absence of a teacher
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils in EYFS, KS1, and KS2
  • Assist with lesson planning and classroom management
  • Support pupils with SEN, EAL, and additional learning needs
  • Work closely with teachers to enhance learning outcomes

About You:

  • Hold a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or equivalent experience
  • Have experience leading lessons and supporting whole-class teaching
  • Be confident in supporting pupils with varying learning needs
  • Have strong behaviour management and organisational skills
  • Hold an enhanced DBS check (or be willing to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
