Job description

Healthcare Assistant

A mixed primary and secondary SEN school based in Rawtenstall is looking to hire full-time, short-term members of staff to join their ever-growing team in September!

The school provides 1:1 and general support for pupils aged 4-16 with SEN additional needs including, Autism, ADHD, and General Learning difficulties and Multiple Learning Difficulties. The pupils who attend this provision receive individualised support and their curriculum for learning is tailored around their needs.

Key Information:

-          Full-time hours, Monday to Friday 8:50am – 3:30pm.

-          Term-time work

-          £12.90- £13.33 per hour.

-          Mixed Primary and Secondary SEN Provision.

Roles and responsibilities

-          Assist students with special educational needs by providing tailored support during lessons, ensuring they understand tasks, and adapting activities to meet their specific learning requirements.

-          Help create an inclusive classroom environment by encouraging participation, fostering social skills, and supporting emotional well-being, ensuring that all students feel valued and included.

-          Assist students with personal care needs, such as feeding, toileting, dressing, and mobility, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety while promoting independence where possible.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
