Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate and dedicated Health & Social Care / PSHRE Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the Gosport area. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to deliver engaging and meaningful lessons to Key Stages 3 & 4, equipping students with the essential knowledge and skills for personal development, health, and social responsibility.

This role is ideal for an experienced teacher with QTS, but we also welcome applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are looking to develop their skills in a supportive environment.

 

As a Health & Social Care / PSHRE Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping student's understanding of personal well-being, relationships, and wider societal issues. Your teaching will help develop responsible, informed, and well-rounded young people, preparing them for life beyond school.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Health & Social Care and PSHRE to KS3 & KS4 students.

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote discussion, critical thinking, and personal reflection.

  • Support students in developing a strong understanding of health, well-being, relationships, and social responsibility.

  • Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with school policies.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the PSHRE and Health & Social Care curriculum.

  • Engage with parents and guardians to support student progress and well-being.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.

  • Applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome.

  • A strong knowledge of Health & Social Care and/or PSHRE curriculum.

  • A passion for personal development, well-being, and social responsibility.

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

  • Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.

  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
