Job Title: Headteacher
Location: Truro, Cornwall
Salary: up to £95,000 per annum dependent on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

A distinguished independent special school located in the picturesque area of Truro, Cornwall, is inviting applications for the role of Headteacher to commence in September 2024. The Headteacher will have the ultimate responsibility for the management and leadership of the school. This pivotal role requires strategic vision and dynamic leadership to enhance the school’s reputation and drive forward its educational ethos.

Essential Requirements:
** Leadership qualification such as NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Headship
**Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with an advanced degree in education or a related field.
**Proven leadership experience in a special education setting, with a track record of effective team management and evidence-based school improvement.
**Strong understanding of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) practices and policies.
**Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport and effective relationships with various stakeholders.
**Strategic thinking abilities with robust problem-solving skills.
**A commitment to professional development and staying current with educational research and best practices in special education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
