Job description
Teaching Personnel are excited to be working in partnership with a school in the East Lancashire area that caters for students aged 10-19 who face various challenges associated with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school is looking for an experienced and dynamic Head Teacher to join their leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students and lead a dedicated team.
Role Details:
- Position: Head Teacher
- Duration: Until the end of the academic year, with the potential for a longer-term/permanent contract
- Age Range: 10-19 years
- Location: East Lancashire
- Salary: L10 - L14, dependent on experience and qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Lead the school’s strategic vision and day-to-day operations
- Provide support and direction to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
- Drive improvement and foster a supportive, inclusive environment for students
- Oversee preparations for the upcoming Ofsted inspection, ensuring full compliance and readiness
- Collaborate with staff, students, and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for the school community
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Head Teacher or in a senior leadership role
- Experience working with students who have social, emotional, and mental health needs
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A commitment to improving the educational experience for all students
- Ability to work collaboratively with the SLT, staff, and external stakeholders
Support Available:
- A highly experienced Senior Leadership Team in place to support and collaborate with you
- Full backing and guidance throughout the Ofsted inspection process

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
