Job description
This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates considering a career in teaching within a secondary school in Salford:
- Full-time Graduate Teaching positions.
- Working full-time for a year before embarking on a salaried PGCE.
- Start date – September 2025
- Graduates of any subject specialisms are welcome to apply for this position.
- Full support and training will be provided.
- Earn up to £1800 per month, with an increase in the 2nd year.
Teaching Personnel has developed a 2 year Graduate Teaching Programme specifically for graduates interested in teaching. The programme provides graduates with paid experience in one of our client secondary schools before continuing to a teacher training course through the school trust, some of which are salaried.
The Graduate Teaching Programme commences in September on a full-time basis and will be guaranteed for a full year at one of our client schools in Salford before starting a PGCE. This programme will provide graduates with invaluable skills and experience necessary to become a successful teacher and will also support securing a position on an upcoming teacher training programme.
Candidates enrolled on to the Graduate Teaching programme will be expected to work as a teaching assistant and cover supervisor working with small groups of students in need of extra support in subjects such as English, Maths and Science, Humanities, Art or PE, based on your desired subject.
Previous experience working with children and young people is desirable but not necessary as full training will be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
