Graduate Teaching Assistant
Job description

Role Overview:
- Support teachers in the delivery of lessons across multiple subjects (Maths, English, Science, etc.).
- Work with small groups or individual students, providing tailored support to help them reach their full potential.
- Assist with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and behaviour management to create a positive learning environment.
- Help with the assessment of student work, providing feedback to help students improve their academic performance.
- Take on a range of support roles, including mentoring, tutoring, and providing 1:1 assistance for students with specific learning needs or barriers to learning.
- Assist with extracurricular activities, including clubs, after-school sessions, or revision classes.
Ideal Candidate:
- A recent graduate in any subject (education, psychology, humanities, social sciences, maths, or science preferred).
- A genuine desire to work with young people and help them achieve academic success.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to a variety of teaching and learning styles.
- A patient and empathetic approach, especially when working with students who need extra support.
- Previous experience working with children (e.g., tutoring, sports coaching, volunteering) is an advantage but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
