About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school in Weymouth, you will:
- Supervise and manage classrooms during a teacher’s short-term absence.
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students stay on task.
- Support the students’ learning while maintaining a positive, productive classroom environment.
- Gain invaluable experience interacting with students, learning how to manage classroom behaviour, and understanding school systems.
This role does not require active lesson planning, marking, or direct teaching but provides an immersive and realistic view of life in a teaching role, preparing you for your next steps into Initial Teacher Training (ITT) or a PGCE course.

During your time as a Cover Supervisor, you will:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
