Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
Have you recently graduated in Psychology? Do you have a particular interest in supporting young people with ADHD, Autism, and behavioural issues?
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Psychology Graduates to join one of our client secondary schools in Manchester as Teaching Assistants, specialising in behaviour management.
This position will be full-time and will after the October half-term. The salary for this position will be between £420 and £450 per week dependent on the requirements from the school.
In order to be successful for this position, you must be able to provide at least two employment-based references. You must also be willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check and put it on the update service.
The key responsibilities will be:
- Working closely with pupils who regularly display challenging behavioural traits to ensure that they are engaged in their learning.
- You must be able to understand the behavioural traits that have been displayed, many of the pupils you will be working with will have Autism or ADHD so you must have a good understanding of how this impacts learning.
- You will assist pupils who have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
