Are you a dedicated graduate looking to gain valuable experience in the education sector? Teaching Personnel is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Cover Supervisor at a dynamic secondary school in Sheffield.

Role Overview: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the continuity of education within the school. Your responsibilities will include supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and complete the work set by the teacher. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of age groups and subjects, gaining a well-rounded experience in the field of education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans to students in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Support students in their learning and answer questions as needed.
  • Uphold the school's policies and procedures at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with teaching staff and provide feedback on lessons when required.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree (graduate level).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a classroom and maintain discipline.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different subjects and year groups.
  • Passion for working with young people and helping them achieve their potential.
