Graduate Cover Supervisors Required in the Portsmouth Area!

What is a Cover Supervisor?

A cover supervisor plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of a school. You will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and follow the pre-set work.

This role is perfect for graduates who are seeking experience in a classroom environment and want to gain insight into the teaching profession before undertaking formal teacher training.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused on their work
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Assist with administrative tasks and support teachers where required
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour
  • Act as a role model and build rapport with students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
