Job Title: Geography Teacher

The Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our successful Humanities Department. As a Geography Teacher, you will inspire and challenge students to develop a deep understanding of the world around them. You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching A-Level Geography for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Assess, record, and report on the progress and attainment of students, providing constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning and student participation.
  • Contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum, ensuring it is both relevant and inspiring.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Humanities Department to share best practices and resources.
  • Participate in school-wide activities, including parents' evenings, staff meetings, and extracurricular programs.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Geography at the secondary level, with a strong track record of student achievement.
  • A passion for Geography and the ability to inspire students to develop a love for the subject.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage your time effectively.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
