Are you a passionate Geography teacher looking for a new opportunity in an exciting secondary school across Northampton?

We are currently recruiting for a Geography teacher to join our partner secondary school in Northampton. The position is set to begin after the February half-term and has scope for the position to go from temp - perm. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established school that is growing each academic year. With the school's future expansion, there will be excellent prospects for career progression and the possibility of securing a permanent role within the school.

The Role: As a Geography teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students aged 11-16 across a range of abilities, so versatility is key. The school is looking for a teacher who is confident in delivering Geography to GCSE level and who can also teach to Key Stage 3. Although planning is provided, you will be expected to undertake some planning responsibilities and contribute to other activities such as parents' evenings.

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Geography to GCSE level
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A team player
  • Two educational-based references
  • Subject to clearance of child-only DBS certificate
