We are currently recruiting for multiple Geography Teacher positions across Liverpool in both secondary mainstream and SEN schools. The Role:
We are seeking adaptable and committed Geography Teachers to engage and educate students across different learning environments. Whether in a mainstream secondary school or a specialist SEN setting, your role will be to develop students' understanding of the world, encourage critical thinking, and equip them with valuable geographical knowledge and skills.
Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated Geography lessons tailored to students' needs and abilities.

Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported and motivated.

Using innovative teaching strategies to make Geography relevant, accessible, and exciting.

Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support development.

Collaborating with colleagues, support staff, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Managing classroom behaviour effectively, setting high expectations, and fostering a culture of respect.

Supporting students with additional learning needs, including those with EHCPs in SEN schools, by adapting teaching methods and materials appropriately.

Encouraging curiosity, independent thinking, and problem-solving skills in students to help them become global citizens.

Experienced in working with a range of student abilities – experience in SEN settings is desirable but not essential.

Committed to student progress – ensuring that all learners, regardless of background or ability, reach their potential.

A positive role model – demonstrating professionalism, patience, and resilience in all aspects of the role.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

Experience teaching Geography at secondary level (KS3-KS4, with KS5 desirable).

A thorough understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
-
Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
