Role: Teacher of Geography
Area: Darlington

Contract: Fulltime, Temp to Perm
Salary: MPS/ UPS, Dependent on experience

The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4. They will be expected to deliver high-quality lessons that engage and inspire students, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing regular feedback and support.
- Contribute to the development of the Humanities curriculum and resources.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all students.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching and learning outcomes.
Requirements:
- A degree in Geography
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and a reflective approach to teaching practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for Humanities and a desire to inspire students.
Desirable:
- A postgraduate qualification in education or a Humanities discipline.
- Familiarity with the latest educational technologies and their application in the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
