General Cover Teacher

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and adaptable General Cover Teacher for a range of schools across West Yorkshire. As a recruitment agency, we work closely with schools that require flexible, reliable teaching staff to cover various subjects and year groups. This is an exciting opportunity for qualified teachers to gain diverse classroom experience across different schools and settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cover for absent teachers, delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure students are engaged and productive.
- Provide constructive feedback to schools about student progress during cover lessons.
- Support the school’s ethos and policies, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
- Adapt quickly to different teaching styles and classroom settings.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience in teaching or classroom support in the UK is ESSENTIAL.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to different teaching environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
