Salary: £150 - £210 per day (Based on experience and pay scale)

About the role

Are you a general combined Science Teacher who has good curriculum knowledge of all areas of Science and is looking for a new role in a secondary school come September 2024?

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit numerous Science Teachers in the Liverpool and St Helens area with the possibility of full time work in September. This is a great opportunity for any Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT), someone who is looking to return to teaching and has relevant experience or just someone looking for a new opportunity and role.

These schools work with us closely and in particular numerous full-time Science Teachers have picked up permanent roles at the schools through Teaching Personnel.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging Biology, Chemistry and Physics lessons to pupils aged 11-16.
  • Have a good knowledge of combined Science and be able to tailor different lessons to certain subjects within Science.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to both parents and students to help with their learning and development. Also support students 1:1 if needed.
  • Develop extra-curricular Science workshops and host revision classes to help support students for mock exams and GCSE’s.
  • Foster a positive learning environment and have strong classroom management skills.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Newly Qualified Teacher Status (NQT).
  • Degree in Science or similar subject.
  • Enhanced DBS cleared & uploaded to the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Full right to work within the UK.
  • Have up to date safeguarding training or willing to take it. (Provided for free by Teaching Personnel).
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills in order to collaborate with teachers, students and parents.
