Job description

Job Title: English and Maths GCSE SEMH Tutor

Location:

England, Greater London, Dagenham

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tutoring in English and Maths subjects at GCSE level
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties
  • Develop individualised learning plans based on student assessments
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs
  • Knowledge of the GCSE curriculum in English and Maths

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching/tutoring experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans
  • Proficiency in using educational technology

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work closely with students in their homes, in a one-on-one setting
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to support student learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
