Job description

Are you gripped by documentaries about the world around us? Are you logical and experimental in your approaches? Are you interested in getting involved in a new exciting career in education? If you are a fully qualified Science Teacher/Tutor who is looking to work on a part-time basis in Hull and the surrounding areas, then this role may be for you!

We are looking for an engaging and energetic Science Tutor to join our talent pool here at TP-Tutors. As a tutor, you will need to be able to build a relationship with this student to help tailor your approach to cater for their additional needs and preferences. You may be looking for something long-term, short-term or even just curious about what roles are currently in the market. For any case, we can support and we would love to hear from you!

The pay for tutoring is £25-£30 per hour. It is desirable for the applicants to hold full UK driving licence as a selection of the pupils will need to be tutored within their home/at a local library.

Requirements for the role:

-          Professional Teaching Qualifications are preferred (Qualified Teacher Status, QTS).

-          A desire to promote and encourage, as well as motivate themselves.

-          An excellent grasp and understanding of the English Language.

-          An Enhanced Child Workforce only DBS on the update service, or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors (support for obtaining one can be provided).

-          A strong subject knowledge of the Science Curriculum.

-          Experience of working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH and other additional needs.

-          GCSE delivery experience (Desirable) and UK Delivery experience (Essential).

-          Professional references from your two most recent employers, totalling 24 months from a 10-year career history.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
