Job Title: GCSE English and Maths Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Witham

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive tutoring sessions in GCSE English and Maths
  • Develop tailored lesson plans to meet the individual learning needs of students
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Support students in exam preparation and revision
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance

Required Qualifications:

A relevant degree in English, Maths, Education, or a related field

Education:

GCSE English and Maths qualifications at grade A*-C or equivalent

Experience:

Prior experience in tutoring or teaching GCSE English and Maths

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Organisational skills to plan and deliver effective lessons

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS)

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a pupils home.
  • May require to accommodate student schedules
  • Use of educational technology and resources to enhance learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
