Job Title: English and Maths GCSE SEN Tutor

Location:

Job Duties:

The English and Maths GCSE SEN Tutor will be responsible for providing specialised tutoring in English and Maths to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Duties include creating individualised lesson plans, assessing students' needs, monitoring progress, and adapting teaching methods to meet the unique learning requirements of each student.

Required Qualifications:

- A recognised teaching qualification

- Experience working with students with SEN

- Strong knowledge of the GCSE English and Maths curriculum

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

A degree in Education or a related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in tutoring or teaching students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

- In-depth understanding of SEN teaching strategies

- Ability to develop and deliver engaging lesson plans

- Proficiency in assessing and tracking student progress

- Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Additional training in SEN education

- Experience with online tutoring platforms

Working Conditions:

This role is based in a learners home setting in Brightlingsea, Essex. The Tutor is expected to work full-time hours on a temporary basis, providing support to students with SEN during the school term. The position may require flexibility in working hours to accommodate student needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
