Job Title: GCSE English and Maths 1:1 Tutor

Job Duties:

The GCSE English and Maths 1:1 Tutor will be responsible for providing personalised tutoring to students in the subjects of English and Maths. Duties include assessing students' strengths and weaknesses, creating tailored lesson plans, delivering engaging and interactive lessons, monitoring progress, and providing feedback to students and parents/guardians.

Required Qualifications:

- A relevant degree in Education or related field

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Experience in teaching GCSE English and Maths

Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum for English and Maths

- Ability to assess students' learning needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Patience and empathy in working with students of varying abilities

Working Conditions:

This role is part-time and temporary, with flexible hours. The tutor will work closely with students in a one-on-one setting, either in person or virtually. The tutor may need to travel to students' homes or conduct sessions in a designated learning space.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
