Teaching Personnel is Hiring! – SEND Teaching Assistants Needed in Gateshead & Sunderland
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Teaching Personnel is looking for dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Gateshead and Sunderland.
About the Role:
✅ Supporting children with SEND on a one-to-one or small-group basis
✅ Assisting teachers in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
✅ Encouraging students' independence and personal development
✅ Managing behaviour and implementing support strategies tailored to individual needs
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Experience working with children, ideally those with SEND (e.g., autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs)
✔ A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✔ Relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
