Teaching Assistant / Cover Supervisor Opportunity for PGCE Students
Location: Carmarthen
Pay: £83.85 daily rate for Teaching Assistant

Are you a PGCE student currently studying to become a teacher and looking for practical experience while earning? Teaching Personnel offers a fantastic opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience and build your teaching skills, all while working alongside your university placements! Working with us will allow you to build your CV ready for when you graduate and help you build existing relationships with schools. Start early, get your foot in the door don’t wait till you graduate!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching Assistant Role: Support classroom teachers in delivering lessons, managing student behaviour, and helping to create a positive learning environment.
  • Cover Supervisor: Take charge of lessons in the absence of a teacher, ensuring students remain on task and continue their learning effectively (Training opportunities available through Teaching Personnel).
  • Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and contribute to educational outcomes.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support for students who need extra help or attention.
  • Support with administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of lessons and activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
