Functional Skills Tutor

Job Duties:

• Deliver high-quality functional skills training in English, Maths, and ICT to learners.
• Create engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as required.
• Ensure compliance with relevant educational standards and regulations.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed).
• Specialist qualification in English, Maths, or ICT.
• Experience teaching/tutoring
• Valid DBS check.
• Proven track record of improving student outcomes.
• Thorough understanding of the UK education system and curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.
