Functional Skills Tutor

TP Tutors are looking for an enthusiastic tutor to provide education for children who aren’t currently accessing education. This role is to work with Local Authorities and Schools in the Blackburn area.

This position is for an English Tutor who will plan, create and deliver English sessions.

The role:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons
• Provide constructive feedback via our learning platform (guidance will be shared)
• Understand the child’s individual needs, using these to create a child-centred approach to learning.
• Maintain an accurate record of the child’s learning, progress and attendance.

Tutor requirements:

• Professional Teaching Qualifications are preferred or significant tutoring experience.
• An enhanced child workforce only DBS on the update service, or willingness to purchase one through Teaching Personnel.
• 2 Professional references that cover 24 months of employment, taken from a 10 year career history.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
