Are you a teacher looking to move into tuition?

Teaching Personnel are looking for tutors in the Northamptonshire area to work with young people who have had a difficult beginning to education and are in need of additional support. These young people are out of education, and this can be for various reasons such as:

  • Recently moved to a new location
  • Excluded from school
  • They are a Looked After Child
  • A recent diagnosis of SEN that requires specialist provision

The role of a tutor would be to plan and deliver engaging lessons to pupils on a 1:1 basis. There is a high demand for tutors who can support Primary and Secondary aged pupils, where work would be centred around Maths & English.

The tuition will take place in the young person’s home or an agreed public venue such as a library.

The ideal candidate:

  • Confident in dealing with challenging behaviour.
  • Passionate and committed to make a difference to vulnerable young people.
  • Able to work Face to Face, within the pupil’s home / residential care home
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Recently safeguarding trained (Teaching Personnel offer free safeguarding training)
  • Teaching qualification / Tutor experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
