The Role:
As a Fully Qualified Mathematics Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics education to secondary school students. You will inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for mathematics and helping each student achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable goals.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and promotes mutual respect.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the development of the mathematics department.
- Support students' academic and personal development through pastoral care and guidance.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to succeed.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and other school events as required.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Mathematics.
- Proven experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level, with a track record of success.
- Strong knowledge of the mathematics curriculum and examination requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to students' academic and personal growth.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Enhanced DBS check and on the update service (or willingness to undergo one) and appropriate references.
