About the Role
We’re looking for a dedicated English teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in North Liverpool. What You’ll Do:
- Engage and Inspire: Deliver captivating English lessons that spark students' interest in reading, literature, and effective communication.
- Plan and Adapt: Create and execute lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum, adapting to meet the needs of different abilities and learning styles.
- Monitor and Motivate: Track and assess student progress, providing feedback that helps them build confidence and skill.
- Foster a Love of Language: Encourage students to explore literature, develop critical thinking, and express themselves with confidence.
- Collaborate and Contribute: Work closely with colleagues in the English department to enhance the curriculum, share ideas, and support student growth.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in English or a closely related field.
- Passion for English and a talent for bringing literature and language to life in the classroom.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with students of varying abilities.
- A positive, proactive approach to classroom management and lesson planning.
- Team player attitude, ready to collaborate with other educators in a dynamic learning environment.
- Enhanced DBS certificate and on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
