Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for a French Teacher for 2 days a week from immediate to end of Summer 2025.

ROLE: French Teacher

DAYS/HOURS: Wednesday and Thursdays - 8.30am-15.30pm

START/DURATION: ASAP to End of Summer 2025

PAY: Weekly

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Delivering high-quality French lessons to middle school students at Key Stage 3.
  • Planning and preparing engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Assessing and tracking student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
  • Managing classroom behavior and ensuring a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Preparing students for exams and assessments, helping them to achieve their potential.
  • Collaborating with the wider teaching team and school staff to promote student wellbeing and academic achievement.
  • Supporting students with varying levels of ability, ensuring differentiation and tailored support.
  • Attending staff meetings and participating in professional development as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of French language and culture.
  • Experience teaching French to middle school students, within a UK-based setting.
  • Passion for education and the ability to inspire students in a supportive and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to engage students and encourage a love of learning.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
