Job Title: Food Technology Teacher

Location: North West England, Lancashire, Preston

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary: £162.31 - £251.71 Per day

Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and informative food technology lessons to students
  • Create lesson plans and educational materials tailored to the curriculum requirements
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, tests, and examinations
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Food Technology or related subject
  • Relevant degree in Food Technology or a related field

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or a related field

Experience:

  • Proven experience teaching Food Technology in a school setting
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and inspire students in the subject

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of the food technology curriculum
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or Food Technology
  • Experience working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school environment with regular school hours
  • Potential for additional responsibilities such as extracurricular activities or parent meetings
