Exciting Opportunity: Full-Time Food Technology Teacher in Chorley!
Start Date: Easter 2025 | End Date: July 2025
Are you passionate about food, education, and inspiring the next generation of chefs and food innovators? We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join our dedicated team at a well-regarded school in Chorley. This is a full-time, temporary role starting after Easter until the end of the academic year in July 2025.
As a Food Technology Teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to nurture student creativity, teach essential culinary skills, and promote healthy eating habits in a vibrant and supportive environment. You’ll deliver engaging lessons, help students build practical skills, and prepare them for future careers in the food industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging and informative Food Technology lessons across Key Stage 3 & 4
- Planning and preparing lessons that align with the curriculum and inspire students
- Creating a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and practical skills
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
- Contributing to extracurricular activities related to food and cooking, if desired
About You:
- A qualified Food Technology teacher with experience delivering engaging lessons
- Passionate about food, sustainability, and encouraging students to think critically about the world of food
- Able to create a positive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A team player with a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
