Teaching Personnel are currently looking to work on behalf of Food Technology Teachers within South Birmingham to work at our ofsted rated 'good' partnered Seconday Schools. The ideal candidate will have ample expereince of working within UK Secondary Schools and have a vast knowledge of the Food Technology Curriculmn with the ability to teach KS3 - KS5 if needed.
Roles and Responsbilities:
- Plan, mark and teach Food Technology lessons up to KS5.
- Ability to support other members of staff within the department when needed.
- To be able to teach practical lessons along side theory lessons.
- Ensure that students understand and adhere to food safety standards, including hygiene, safe handling, and storage of food.
- Maintain a safe working environment in the kitchen and classroom by enforcing health and safety guidelines, particularly when handling cooking equipment and hot surfaces.
- Adapt lessons to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, including students with special educational needs (SEN).
- Ensure that kitchen tools, equipment, and ingredients are well-maintained and available for practical lessons.
- Lead extra-curricular activities such as cooking clubs, school catering projects, or food competitions to inspire and engage students outside the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
