Job description

Female PE Teacher – Stockport – Immediate Start

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and experienced Female PE Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools in Stockport. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young people and make a real difference in their physical and mental well-being through dynamic, engaging physical education lessons.

Position Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Location: Stockport
  • Contract Type: Full-time, temporary (with the potential for a permanent role)
  • Salary: £162-£251 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, school hours

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging PE lessons that cater to a range of abilities, inspiring students to enjoy physical activity.
  • Develop lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and promote key skills such as teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.
  • Lead extracurricular sports clubs, coaching sessions, and inter-school competitions.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment where students feel encouraged to participate and achieve.
  • Support the school’s vision to promote healthy lifestyles and physical well-being across the student body.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to whole-school initiatives to enhance student experiences.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their potential.

Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Specialism in Physical Education with prior teaching experience at a secondary level.
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding lessons and build rapport with students.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students.
  • A commitment to extracurricular activities, including coaching sports teams.
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
