Calling all EYFS Teaching Assistants!
Are you passionate about supporting young children in their early years of learning? We are looking for a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team and help create a nurturing and engaging environment for our youngest learners. We have various roles in a couple of locations across Southampton and Winchester.
About the Role: As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support children in their early educational journey. You will help create a positive, stimulating environment where children feel safe, valued, and excited about learning. Your role will be crucial in promoting the development of key skills through play, interaction, and guided learning.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to the needs of EYFS children.

Provide one-on-one and small group support, encouraging children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Assist with the preparation and adaptation of classroom resources.
-
Help manage classroom routines, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all children.
-
Support children with personal care as needed, promoting independence and self-confidence.
-
Observe and record children’s progress, reporting back to the class teacher and contributing to assessments.
About You:
-
Experience working with young children (preferably in an EYFS setting) is desirable.

A warm, compassionate, and patient approach, with a genuine passion for supporting early childhood development.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Creative, energetic, and able to make learning fun and engaging.
-
A relevant qualification (such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
