Job description

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant with SEN Support experience to work on a full-time basis in King's Lynn, Norfolk.

If you have experience supporting pupils as a teaching assistant in Primary, Secondary or in SEN schools and are looking for a position that will compliment and reward your skillset – this role may be of interest to you.

A thriving and forward-thinking Primary school located in King's Lynn, Cambridgeshire - are looking for a Teaching Assistant to take on a supporting role with a KS2 pupil on a 1:1 basis, in class. The pupil has an EHCP in place, which is regularly reviewed by the SENCO and Safeguarding lead.

The role is fulltime, 5 days a week within school hours, working on a 1:1 basis and is expected to last until the end of the academic year. In your role, you will be expected to monitor and assess the progress of pupil and assist in their progression through learning. You will also need to offer general support and aid in the overall running of the class alongside the class teacher.

If you have:

  • Prior Teaching Assistant Experience
  • Completed training courses relevant to a career in education such as: Prevent Training, Safeguarding, Child Protection
  • NVQ Level 3 – Relevant to working within schools
  • Experience offering 1:1 support to SEN pupils with challenging behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
