An esteemed primary school in Sunderland is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher to join their permanent staff list from January 2025. The school prides itself on fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.
The EYFS Teacher will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons that cater to the needs of young learners.
- Creating a safe and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and development.
- Monitoring and assessing pupils' progress, providing feedback and support to ensure each child achieves their potential.
- Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and carers to support the holistic development of children.
- Contributing to the school's ethos and values, promoting a positive and inclusive culture.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent EYFS teaching qualification.
- Proven experience in teaching Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to nurturing young minds.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the wider school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
