Job description

TP Tutors offer educational support to children who are not currently engaged in mainstream education. Tutoring sessions may be held in a range of settings, including local libraries, children’s homes, learning centres ect.

We are looking for a committed English tutor to support children in the Darlington area in reaching their academic goals.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one tuition sessions focused on the English  curriculum.
  • Build positive and engaging relationships with students to encourage their reintegration into education.
  • Monitor and track student progress using our LEAP platform.

Key Requirements:

  • Hold a child workforce-only enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience working in educational settings, supporting children.
  • Ability to plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Maths curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
