Contract: Fulltime, Permanent

A well-established secondary school in Wimborne is seeking a passionate and dynamic Teacher of English to join their dedicated team on a full-time, permanent basis from January 2025.

As a Teacher of English, you will have the opportunity to inspire and challenge students from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5, encouraging a love of literature, language, and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align with the national curriculum.
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment where all students can excel.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with the English department to maintain high teaching standards.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in English or a related field.
  • Proven experience of teaching English in a secondary school setting, including GCSE and A-Level.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for teaching and a desire to inspire a love for English in students of all abilities.
