English Teacher

Where: Swansea

When: November 2023 - July 2024

Pay: 157.66 Per Day

08:30am – 15:30pm/ Full Time

Due to continued demand, Teaching Personnel are currently seeking an experienced English Teacher to work in one of our secondary partner schools in Swansea. As a school it offers an informal and formal curriculum and has a keen passion in sports clubs and performing arts in addition to academic subjects. Being a school of sanctuary, with over 30 languages used in the school, this school truly represents community and equality.

THE ENGLISH ROLE:

  • Plan, Prepare and Deliver Lessons
  • Deliver lessons using a variety of differentiated instructional techniques that are appropriate to the academic level and meet the diverse needs of students
  • Prepare instructional aids and supplemental teaching materials and resources consistent with learning objectives and student needs
  • Track and monitor student learning using a variety of techniques
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
  • Coordinate parent/teacher conferences to review students' progress
  • Create a safe and flexible classroom environment conducive to optimal student learning
  • Safeguard students at all time
  • Ensuring high quality of English lessons, with vast knowledge and understanding of the English curriculum.

The ideal English Teacher will have:

  • PGCE English
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Enhanced DBS - child only
  • EWC (Education Workforce Council)
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in English or a similar field.
  • Management of classroom and school procedures
  • Strong communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
