English Teacher/Tutor
Full-time salary £28,620 - £39,300 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience.
Full-time or part-time considered.  Full-time is 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.  One year contract initially leading to a permanent post

Teaching Personnel have an excellent opportunity to work with a Independent special day school. The school cater for pupils aged 11-16 focusing on social and emotional development.

The Job  

  • Undertake subject teaching responsibility and ensure all pupils develop their knowledge
    and skills and make good progress in their learning
  • Work with the Head Teacher and Leadership team to deliver a sequenced curriculum
    which builds knowledge and skills towards agreed end points
  • Effectively monitor the progress of each pupil, checking their understanding
    systematically and effectively, putting in place clearly directed and timely interventions

The Person  

  • Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS/PGCE) preferred but other recognised teaching qualification considered
  • Experience of teaching to secondary class/group
  • Ability to teach from primary level up to GCSE English
  • Ability to prepare and deliver appropriate curriculum using a range of teaching styles and methodologies.
  • Experience within an SEN setting an advantage

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
