Job description

We are excited to offer a full-time, long-term position for an enthusiastic and dedicated English teacher to join our secondary school in Stoke from Easter. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work in a creative and supportive environment, where fostering a love of literature and language is central to our mission. The successful candidate will be expected to teach English across a range of year groups and abilities, inspiring students to develop a passion for reading, writing, and critical analysis.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for English and a commitment to delivering high-quality lessons that challenge and engage students. You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons that nurture students' language and literary skills, while also supporting them to think critically and independently. In addition, the role will involve assessing students' progress, providing feedback, and developing differentiated learning strategies to ensure all students succeed.

We are looking for an individual who is not only skilled in teaching English but also dedicated to making a positive impact on students’ academic and personal growth. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
