English Teacher – KS3/KS4 Specialist
Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term
Salary: £31,650 – £49,084 (M1-UPS3, dependent on experience)

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering exciting and thought-provoking lessons in both English Language and English Literature to KS3 and KS4 students. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a love of literature and developing students' ability to critically engage with texts. Your passion for education and your commitment to supporting every learner will be at the heart of your work.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students

Plan and assess engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and creativity
-
Differentiate teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners

Support students with exam preparation and coursework assessments
-
Contribute to the school’s whole-school literacy strategy and enrichment programs
-
Maintain positive relationships with students and their families
-
Track pupil progress and provide feedback to ensure continual improvement
Essential Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
-
Experience teaching English at KS3/KS4 level
-
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature
-
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
-
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
