English Teacher – Secondary School (Stockport)

Location: Stockport
Start Date: January 2025
Salary: £162 - 251 per day, dependent on experience

Are you an enthusiastic English teacher looking to inspire students at a welcoming secondary school in Stockport? Teaching Personnel is excited to offer an opportunity for a dynamic and skilled English teacher to join a supportive school community from January 2024. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering engaging lessons to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, nurturing their understanding of literature and language and preparing them for success in their exams.

You’ll join a dedicated English department that values creativity and student engagement, and you’ll have the opportunity to bring your passion for English into your teaching. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, adept at managing classrooms, and able to adapt to different learning styles to ensure all students reach their full potential.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level, ideally including GCSE
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student progress
  • A creative approach to lesson planning and a dedication to inspiring students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
